Holly Hickson joined the Buffett Institute in 2021 as a program specialist for the Workforce Planning and Development unit. Hickson brings to her new role a wide variety of experiences in early childhood and a strong commitment to equity and a systems focus. Before coming to the Institute, Hickson was executive director of Eagle Valley Child Care Association in Edwards, Colorado, an adjunct faculty member at Rasmussen College, and the infant area coordinator for the University of Minnesota’s Child Development Laboratory. She earned a bachelor’s degree in developmental and child psychology from Wayne State University and a master’s degree in early childhood education and teaching from Eastern Michigan University. She also has graduate certificates in infant mental health and leadership development.
