Afrah Rasheed

Afrah Rasheed, graduate assistant
Afrah Rasheed joined the Buffett Institute in 2023 as a graduate assistant for the Workforce Planning and Development team. Working with Cathey Huddleston-Casas, Ph.D., she assists with research on the early childhood workforce. Rasheed is working on a Master of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology with a concentration in development, and a bachelor of arts in sociology with a minor in medical humanities at UNO in 2021. Prior to working at the Institute, she was a program specialist at the Boys & Girls Club of the Midlands for 2 years and was a mentor in NE STEM 4U, which provides educational after-school activities focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for K-12 students in Omaha Public Schools.
