Better Together: Promoting Resilience in Children, Families, and Communities

Omaha, Neb.

Resilience—the ability to adapt in the context of challenge and adversity—is an essential skill for well-being in our communities. Join Dr. Nefertiti B. Poyner, a national trainer and early childhood specialist for the Devereux Center for Resilient Children, for an inspiring session about resilience and what it takes to help children, families, and communities build and strengthen resilience. During this professional learning event, engage in activities to explore what a resilient child looks like, discover threats to the development of resilience in children, learn how to strengthen protective factors that can be put in place, and find ways to nurture the development of resilience in children with the greatest needs. Participants will earn two Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
