York Public Schools' Early Childhood Team is partnering with early childhood experts in Nebraska and across the nation to present the third annual Mid-Nebraska Early Childhood Summit. Break-out sessions offer many opportunities to discover new methods of reaching our youngest learners. Featured speakers include Julia Cook, a former school counselor and teacher who is now an award-winning children's author, as well as a parenting expert and inspirational speaker; and Samuel Meisels, founding executive director of the Buffett Early Childhood Institute at the University of Nebraska and one of the nation's leading authorities on the assessment of young children and early childhood development.
