Nataliya Nareyko joined the Buffett Institute in 2022 as the Grants Financial Specialist. In this role, she is responsible for operating and personnel budget development, implementation and change management, monitoring financial balances for Institute grants and awards, managing expenditures, and record-keeping of disbursement of funds.
Prior to joining the Institute, she worked as a pre-award administrator with the Department of Medicine and grants administrator with the Department of Cell Biology at the University of Pittsburgh, managing the full cycle of grants management and grants accounting for the major departments of the university. She also has several years of accounting experience in the hospitality industry.
Originally from Russia, she moved to the U.S. in 2013, and lived in Washington, D.C., New York City, and Pittsburgh before moving to Omaha. Nareyko, who is bilingual, earned a B.S. in organic chemistry and a B.A. in history from Russian universities, and she holds an accounting certificate from the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University.
