Molly Colling joined the Buffett Early Childhood Institute in 2015 as a program specialist, overseeing 10 home visitors as part of the Superintendents’ Early Childhood Plan. She has been a master coach to Birth-Grade 3 home visitors and is the Institute's in-house expert on creating and facilitating meaningful community of practice spaces. Last year, Colling began splitting her job responsibilities between the Professional Learning and Program teams, co-facilitating the Nebraska Early Childhood Workforce Leadership Cadre with Cama Charlet, associate director of professional learning, and continued her work supporting home visitors and mentoring new Program staff.
In 2023, she moved full time to the Professional Learning team, where she will continue to support the Cadre work and will be working alongside Dalhia Lloyd, director of professional learning, and Keshia Partridge-Nelson, professional learning specialist, to create new community of practice spaces for early childhood professionals and families.
Colling, an Omaha native who is fluent in Spanish, previously served as bilingual family development coordinator for the Salvation Army’s Early Head Start Program in Omaha. She also served as a bilingual career specialist for the YWCA in Omaha, and spent more than two years in the Dominican Republic working as a community health advisor for the Peace Corps. Colling received her bachelor’s degree in health science from Bradley University and is working on her master’s degree in social work at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
