Molly Colling is an early childhood specialist at the Buffett Early Childhood Institute. She joined the Institute in 2015 as a program specialist, overseeing 10 home visitors as part of the Superintendents’ Early Childhood Plan. She has been a master coach to Birth-Grade 3 home visitors and is the Institute's in-house expert on creating and facilitating meaningful community of practice spaces.
Colling co-facilitates the Nebraska Early Childhood Workforce Leadership Cadre with Cama Charlet, director of early childhood workforce engagement.
In 2023, she moved full time to the Professional Learning team, where continues to support the Cadre work and works alongside Dalhia Lloyd, director of professional learning, and Keshia Partridge-Nelson, early childhood specialist, to create new community of practice spaces for early childhood professionals and families.
Colling, an Omaha native who is fluent in Spanish, previously served as bilingual family development coordinator for the Salvation Army’s Early Head Start Program in Omaha. She also served as a bilingual career specialist for the YWCA in Omaha, and spent more than two years in the Dominican Republic working as a community health advisor for the Peace Corps. Colling received her bachelor’s degree in health science from Bradley University and is working on her master’s degree in social work at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
