Katherine (Kathy) Hubbard joined the Buffett Institute in 2024. In her role as early childhood specialist, Kathy provides instructional support and professional learning to educators, home visitors, and family facilitators through the School as Hub approach in the Omaha Public Schools.
Prior to joining the Institute, Kathy worked at Child Saving Institute in the early childhood program serving families and their children from birth through PreKindergarten. As both an educator and director, she has over 15 years of experience in the early childhood field building relationships, working with community partners, and implementing and monitoring best practices. She also has experience with and enjoys strategic planning, fundraising, professional learning, and program improvement. Kathy earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2009 in child, youth, and family studies.
