Cecely Schieffer is an accountant at the Buffett Institute. In her role, she is responsible for supporting the Institute's finance and operations efforts, providing administrative and accounting recordkeeping, and preparing financial/accounting reports.
Previously, Schieffer was a member of the communications team. She served as the outreach coordinator, where she supported the Institute's communications efforts and events including assisting in planning, coordination, and program development for events, implementing strategic communications plans and developing communications content, and managing sponsorships and speaker facilitation requests.
Schieffer, who joined the Institute in 2018 as an office associate, earned her bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked as a park ranger for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Gavins Point Dam in Yankton, South Dakota.
