Cama Charlet Cole was named associate director of professional learning at the Buffett Early Childhood Institute in 2022. In this role, she oversees implementation of multi-modal professional learning initiatives that aim to promote quality, continuity, and equity in early care and education, birth through Grade 3.
Charlet Cole began working at the Institute in 2015 as an educational facilitator for the Superintendents' Early Childhood Plan and later joined the Workforce Planning and Development staff as a program specialist and later as manager of early childhood workforce initiatives.
The Southern California native graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2003 with a bachelor of science in education and a teaching endorsement in elementary education. She earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Doane College in 2011. She taught in Omaha Public Schools, in Illinois, and in Millard Public Schools before joining the Buffett Institute.
