Nebraska’s Public Investment in Early Childhood Care and Education, Fiscal Year 2021: Technical Report builds on the foundation of its predecessors, the technical reports for fiscal year 2017 and fiscal year 2019. The third of a series from the Buffett Early Childhood Institute at the University of Nebraska, this report establishes an estimate of the federal- and state-level public-sector contributions to Nebraska’s total investment in early childhood care and education (ECCE) for fiscal year 2021. It also provides a record of where ECCE funds originate, and the pathways used to disseminate them to targeted recipients.
Taken together, technical reports for fiscal years 2017, 2019, and 2021 contribute to a chronological record of Nebraska’s public-sector investment in ECCE.
