Maria Guerrero provides essential administrative coordination and business analysis to support the executive leadership team at the Buffett Institute.

Senior Manager for Portfolio Execution

Maria Guerrero joined the Buffett Institute in 2022. As senior manager for portfolio execution for the Institute, she leads the systems and processes that support portfolio execution, helping the Institute follow through on commitments and maintain accountability to partners and the University of Nebraska System. Guerrero has more than 25 years' experience providing administrative support to high-ranking executives and board members.

She was an executive assistant for multiple vice presidents at CHI Health. As executive assistant for the CEO of Ag Processing Inc. (AGP), she also provided board of director support and served as liaison between the business owned by AGP in Venezuela and the headquarters in Omaha. Guerrero, who grew up in Venezuela, is bilingual with experience with Spanish-English translation. She earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Universidad de Carabobo in Venezuela.
