Jeryssa Jones
Early Childhood Specialist
Jeryssa Jones joined the Buffett Institute in 2026 as an early childhood specialist. In her role, she provides instructional support and professional learning to educators, home visitors, and family facilitators through the School as Hub approach in Omaha Public Schools.
Prior to joining the Institute, Jones taught Kindergarten in both Kansas and Nebraska before joining Educare of Omaha, Inc. at Indian Hill as a mentor teacher supervisor. In this role, she provided instructional support, coaching, and professional learning to teachers serving children birth to age 5.
With 11 years of experience in early childhood education, Jones is passionate about supporting high-quality early childhood experiences for children and families. She believes every child deserves intentional, engaging, and supportive learning experiences and is committed to helping educators and early childhood professionals reflect, grow, and build on their strengths to positively impact the children and families they serve.
Jones earned a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Wichita State University and a Master of Science in instructional specialist, with a concentration in elementary STEM, from Emporia State University.
