The third annual conference, themed "Promoting Well-Being for Children and Families," will feature two national speakers: Jo Mascorro, an independent education consultant, and Nefertiti Poyner, from the Devereux Institute. UNK faculty and early childhood experts also will make presentations on a variety of topics related to early care and education. People can register for Friday, Oct. 19, Saturday, Oct. 20, or both days. Open to child care providers, PreK  Grade 3 teachers, Head Start/Early Head Start and Sixpence staff, early intervention specialists and early childhood special education teachers, university faculty and students, and community members interested in early care and education.
