Nicole McCoid joined the Buffett Institute in 2019 as business operations project specialist. This new role at the Institute is focused on coordinating internal human resource business processes, a new project management system, and general business operations. McCoid works closely with Kimberly Harper, associate executive director for operations, and the Institute’s administrative team. McCoid came to the Buffett Institute from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln procurement services department, where she was the manager of procurement systems and data analysis, working with users across Nebraska to support and execute strategic technology initiatives. Over the past 11 years, she provided planning, development, and implementation of technology solutions with a focus on continuous improvement for process efficiencies, collaborative change management, and transparent communication. She earlier worked in the manufacturing procurement industry as a supply chain buyer. McCoid holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with specialization in management and human resource management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
