Erica Kenoyer joined the Buffett Institute in 2018 as an educational facilitator. She works with Belleaire Elementary in Bellevue Public Schools and with Westbrook Elementary in Westside Community Schools. Kenoyer provides on-site support to elementary school leaders and teachers, enhancing teaching and learning in preschool ̶ third grade classrooms. She also supports teachers through professional development workshops and coaching as part of the Superintendents’ Plan. Kenoyer has over 15 years of experience as a public school educator with particular expertise in curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and most recently served as an associate principal in Lewis Central Community Schools in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She also has served as a district literacy facilitator for Omaha Public Schools, an instructional coach and Kindergarten teacher in Golden, Colorado, and a PreK – Grade 6 independent educational consultant and professional development facilitator for the Urban Education Institute, University of Chicago, and Heinemann Publishing. Kenoyer earned a master’s degree in reading from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and early childhood education from the University of Nebraska ̶ Lincoln. She holds teaching certificates in elementary and early childhood education, and a PreK ̶ 12 reading specialist endorsement along with a PreK ̶ 8 principal endorsement.
