"Tapping Into Children's Funds of Knowledge" is the first webinar in the Spring 2022 PD for All series. Drs. Carla Amaro-Jimenez and Peggy Semingson from the University of Texas Arlington will share practical strategies for drawing on the strengths and resources that families bring to learning experiences in and out of school, drawing on ideas from the funds of knowledge theoretical framework. Participants will receive recommendations on specific approaches to learning about families. Guidance on connecting families' cultural and linguistic resources to curricular decisions and student learning will be modeled and discussed in an interactive session.
