Caroline Hickey is an early childhood policy analyst at the Buffett Institute. She supports policy initiatives to expand access to high-quality early childhood services and strengthen early childhood systems for young children and families.
Prior to joining the Buffett Institute, Caroline obtained her master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. While at Teachers College, she worked in government relations and supported the Early Childhood Policy in Institutions of Higher Education initiative at the National Center for Children and Families. Prior to attending Teachers College, she worked in the business office of a single-site charter school. She additionally worked as a public sector consultant, supporting strategy improvement efforts at three government agencies.
Caroline holds a master’s degree in education policy with a specialization in early childhood education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a bachelor’s degree in public policy from the University of Virginia.
