Professional Development: Family Partnerships for Whole Child Development and Learning

Omaha, Neb.

The third installment of the "Professional Development for All" 2015-16 series will be held May 13 at the Scott Conference Center Omaha. This free session, entitled "Family Partnerships for Whole Child Development and Learning," is funded by the Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties.

The keynote, "Unlocking the Possibilities of Authentic Partnership With Families," will be delivered by Portia Kennel, a senior advisor to the Buffett Early Childhood Fund who previously served as a senior vice president at the Ounce of Prevention Fund and as executive director of the Educare Learning Network.

Other speakers include Mariana Osoria, with Family Focus-Nuestra Familia in Chicago; Abbey Sualy, school psychologist at Westside Community Schools; and reading specialist Jane Fleming of KIDS LIKE US in Chicago.
