Professional Development: Engaging and Nurturing Young Children as Active Thinkers

Omaha, Neb.

The first in a series of four Professional Development for All events in 2016-17 for those who work with young children in the Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties. Offered as part of the Superintendents' Plan. Participants will examine what the research tells us about children's development as active thinkers from birth to Grade 3. This includes practice applications that build on strengths to empower each child to thrive as an active learner and thinker. Participants can attend either the evening PD session (5:45 - 8:30 p.m.) on Dec. 1 or a full-day session (8 a.m. - 4 p.m.) on Dec. 2.
