State agency personnel from the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Education will gather May 18 to discuss strategies to ensure that all Nebraska children are served by highly trained early childhood professionals. The think tank is a continuation of discussions from the Transforming the Early Childhood Workforce in Nebraska conference held in October 2015, followed by think tanks in March for representatives from Nebraska's community colleges and four-year institutions.

The Buffett Institute will host the think tank at the Institute's Collaboratorium at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. These ongoing conversations are helping to craft statewide implementation plans.
